camera movement and editing
1) Pick three camera shots from the Doctor Who scene and explain what type of shot it is and what meanings or effect they have on the audience.
2) Pick one camera angle that is used in the scene and explain the effect it has on the audience.
3) Pick one aspect of mise-en-scene from the scene and explain what connotations are being communicated to the audience.
three camera shots
1a.medium close up shot in the first second of the video. the women is holding a passport which indicates that she is going on holiday or she is proving who she is (her identity).
1b.close up shot 0.30 seconds. her facial expressions are quite serious. she looks scared and worried which emphasises that something bound to happen or something bad has already happened.
1c.establishing shot clearly shows the character in a room by herself on a computer doing something. Kind of looks suspicious as there two different computers she is using. this also indicates somethings going to happen as it was completely silent in the room.
2. low angle shot at 3.01. indicates to the audience that they are in a rush because they were tapping the buttons at a really fast pace. its like if they didn't do it that fast something really bad would happen because they were sweating from running so fast which tells us that what they are doing id really important.
3. the setting is very dark with some blue lights in the background and also flickering lights. the place with all the lights and buttons seems very important and serious as they were tapping the buttons really hard like something terrible is going to happen.
