1) What key conventions of print adverts can you find and what are the connotations or deeper meanings of each convention? For each convention, write about how it communicates meaning to the audience. See the Maltesers advert above for an example of how to do this. the photo of the image tells/shows us what the actual image of. the rainbow in the background suggests by implying that it's possible to also "harvest" the rainbow, the ad promotes the candy as something to be experienced, not just eaten. The slogan ``taste the rainbow'' is famously associated with Skittles candy, which has a variety of fruit flavours represented by different colours. While you can't literally taste a rainbow, the expression suggests experiencing a wide range of flavours and sensations, much like the diverse colours of a rainbow.
